Kevin Wu is a writer director whose latest short film JA-9 premiered at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. He was a semi-finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards and the Zoetrope Screenplay Contest for his script Vivian Lee, Senior Programmer, and he won the Outfest Fusion One Minute Film Competition with his short, Genius. Kevin studied film under the tutelage of Professor Kevin Jerome Everson at the University of Virginia, where he earned a B.A. in Financial Economics, and with Matthew Harrison at UCLA Extension.

Kevin’s other hobbies include drag, mountaineering, and CrossFit. He organized for the #FreeBritney movement to end the conservatorship of Britney Spears and reform the probate court system, and he was featured in the documentary The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears. Kevin lives in Hollywood with his husband, kids, and dogs.
